Bulk Lock / Unlock

AWM Domains provides you the unique feature of Bulk Locking apart from locking individual domain names, which will allow you to Lock multiple domain names (except .ME, .EU and .UK domain names) at a single go. Click here to read how to lock domain names individually >>

Domain name Locking is a crucial security feature as it prevents domain names from being transferred away to other Registrars, without it being explicitly removed. Placing a Lock has the following effects on your domain name:

  • The Contact Details and Name Servers of such a domain name can not be modified in this state.

  • A Transfer [Away] Request for this domain name to another Registrar will fail at the Registry itself and will not be allowed.

  • An internal Move of this domain name (to another Customer Account) would not be possible in this state.

Follow the below mentioned steps to Lock / Unlock domain names -

For Customers -

1. Login to your Customer Control Panel from http://www.awmdomains.com/customer.

2. Go to Domains -> Domain Registration -> Bulk Actions -> Bulk Lock/Unlock.

3. Enter the Order Ids/Domain names that you wish to lock/unlock.

4. Click on Lock Orders or Unlock Orders as the case may be.

IMPORTANT

For Resellers -

1. Login to your Reseller Control Panel from http://www.awmdomains.com/reseller.

2. Go to Products -> Domain Registration -> Bulk Actions -> Bulk Lock/Unlock.

3. Here you can select to Lock/Unlock all domain names by either Order Id, Domain Name, Reseller Id or Customer Id. The Reseller Id refers to the Id of your Sub-Reseller(s). You can also decide, if you wish to apply a Reseller Lock or a Customer Lock. In case of Reseller Lock, you would have to also provide the reason for Locking. Enter the Order Ids/Domain names which needs to be locked/unlocked or the Id of Resellers/Customers whose domain names you wish to lock/unlock.

4. Click on Lock Orders if you wish to Lock Orders and Unlock Orders for Unlocking. In case of Unlocking, you can also select to remove all Locks set by your Sub-Resellers and Customers.
